A Travelers Life
Just another way to open up perspectives of the mind, traveling is an option chosen by a few who fancy it. While it may not be the most traditional way to impart knowledge these days, its a tried and tested method that has been evolving since the beginning of mankind.
Mankind’s Traveling Chronicles
We started on foot, tamed animals, built the wheel and also built flotation devices for sea and the sky, eventually casting our footprints in every corner of this planet. And what a journey its been so far, ideas that transcended communication and cultures have created the technological advancements we have today.
Admittedly the internet does this today, the metaverse tomorrow and maybe even teleportation in a few more generations. In all honesty, traveling is still in its nascent years and yet to fulfill its prophecy. Which means it still has immense potential to teach us a few things.
The Quest for Speed
We have come a long way since the first ever speed limits imposed at 2mph. With faster cars, trains and planes every year there is no stop to the thirst of speed. Neither rule nor technology stopped our drive to break sound barriers and beyond.
Fun Fact: 39,937.7 km/h fastest a human ever recorded (Apollo10 command module)
Edit: Astonishingly, the solar system are moving at a pace of 720km/h with respect to the galactic center.
Speed Tales
Even tough speed gets us our destination, the most engaging aspect of a tale is the part where one stops to smell the roses. Yes, there is something quite beautiful and elegant in taking time to absorb the journey.
Focus on the journey, not the destination.
- Many wise blokes
The process of traveling involves switching between the observer and actor, which can give one the time needed to connect those dots and let them sink in. Often the traveler who allows his encounters to influence his path can be a awaking experience or alter the original destination.
Travel Paces
What keeps a traveler hooked is the need for new learning and experiences. While every travel story has a different background and various objectives, every traveler has the option to plan out the ideal pace for his travel journey. After all the objective to travel isn’t just to complete any specific objective, for that may be the case to not travel at all.
